Mystic Medicine Rudraksha

Mystic Medicine Rudraksha

The word “Rudraksha” has its roots in the two Sanskrit words “Rudra” and “Aksha” meaning Lord Shiva and teardrops respectively. According to Hindu Mythology, Lord Shiva once went into deep mediation for the well being of all living creatures. When he woke up. He opened his eyes and tear drops fell on the earth. These tear drops took the form of seeds that later on became the Rudraksha tree. Rudraksha is considered to be the most potent manifestation of the cosmic force. Apart from its religious use, it has got great medicinal value also. Lord Shiva is always portrayed wearing rosaries of rudraksha beads on his head, arms and hands. With this came the religious and spiritual significance of Rudraksha. The sages and yogis of the Himalayas, who live according to the eternal natural law of santana dharma, have always been wearing Rudraksha for centuries for a fearless life on their path to spiritual enlightenment and liberation. Botanically, the holy rudraksha tree is known as ‘Elaeocarpus ganitru, a large evergreen tree with broad leaves and wide crown. Geographically, it is found growing naturally and abundantly is tropical and subtropical areas. Seventy percent of the Rudraksha trees are found in Indonesia, twenty five percent in Nepal and five percent in India. Rudraksha beads are the seeds of the rudraksha fruit obtained from Rudraksha trees. The Rudraksha beads are covered by an outer shell of blue color on fully ripening, so they are also called blue berry beads. Each seed also possesses from 1 to 38 vertical lines running down its surface, like the longitudinal lines on a globe. These lines are known as mukhi (clefts) or faces and are natural formations of the seed. Seeds with one vertical line are known as Eka-Mukhi (one facet), very rare, those with two lines are Dvimukhi (two facets) and so on. According to the basis, these lines or clefts, Rudraksha is set as one, two, three, five, six, sixteen or thirty eight mukhi. Each mukhi Rudraksha has specific properties and provides various scientific, medicinal and spiritual benefits. There are up to 38 mukhi Rudraksha, but 1-14 are most commonly available 95% of the Rudraksha are found with 5 Mukhi.

5 Tips to stand tall in the crowd

5 Tips to stand tall in the crowd

Technically, you and I are much the same sixteen percent organic elements, including water, the proteins of RNA and DNA lipids and sugars. Then there is oxygen, carbon, hydrogen, nitrogen, carbon dioxide, calcium, sulphar and traces of chromium, molybdenum, vanadium, tin and zinc. The difference is in the intangibles of the personality we create for ourselves. Even after having our own personality you are easily over hebdomad by other's personality. It is then you realize that you are growing up but rootless. It is shocking. Then it becomes important to understand how we can make an impression and stand tall in the crowd. In all of this self invention, confidence plays a part. The great thing about confidence is that it is self perpetuating. Get a little and you will soon have some more. It's a cumulative process, as people respond positively, you confidence builds, but it really counts when you are able to collect yourself and move ahead with your head held high in adverse situation. It is said that we are all three different people; the person we think we are (the one we have invented), the person other people think we are (the impression we make) and the we think other people think we are (the one we fret about). You could say it would be a lifetime's quest to reconcile the battling trinity into a seamless whole. A person who stands tall from the crowd is someone who is comfortable with who they are, has the confidence to be unique and to let their individuality shine. Standing out from the crowd means you are not afraid to speak your mind and to avoid following others when to do so results in sameness and conformity. It is about someone who generates admiration and is remembered by other for being someone special and worthy of looking up to.

Ayurvedic Solution of Cardiac Disorders

Ayurvedic Solution of Cardiac Disorders

Cardiovascular disorders are one of the major causes of the disability and premature deaths throughout the world and contributes substantially to the escalating cost of health care. The significant increase in the number of cardiovascular patients globally is mainly due to the influence of the life-style in the present modern era. Altered food habits, sedentary life styles, more inclination towards Junk calorie rich food, ever increasing stress in the mechanical and materialistic world may be directly linked with the increase in incidence of cardiovascular diseases world-wide. Ayurveda also propounds the theory of “Hridroga” and detailed descriptions in treatises of Ayurveda. On the basis of constitution and predominance of the dosha present, five types of Hridroga Vatika, Pittaja, Kaphaja, Sannipataja & Krimija are explained in ayurveda. Group of Cardio-Vascular disorders a. Cerebro-vascular disease - disease of the blood vessels supplying the brain b. Peripheral Arterial disease - disease of blood vessels supplying the arms and legs c. Rheumatic Heart Diseases - damage to the heart muscles and heart valves from rheumatic fever caused by streptococcal bacteria. d. Congenital Heart Diseases - malformations of heart structure existing at birth e. Deep Vein Thrombosis / Pulmonary Embolism - blood clots in the leg veins, which can dislodge and move to the heart and lungs. Risk Factors 1. Change in life style – sedentary lifestyle 2. Change in food habits – heavy, sweet, oily etc. 3. Obesity 4. Addiction – tobacco, alcohol 5. Hereditary Ayurvedic Line of Management a) Avoidance of causative factors. b) Complete physical and mental rest. c) Controlled diet & life style modifications. d) Treat according to dosha predominance. On the basis of these descriptions, Hrid Roga has close association with various ailments described in modern cardiology. It is difficult to give a specific correlate of coronary artery disease in Ayurveda but on the basis of descriptions available in Ayurvedic classics the manifestation of coronary artery disease resemble very closely with Vatika Hridroga. While treating a patient of coronary artery disease on Ayurvedic principles, the status of Plasma, Plasma metabolism, Fat metabolism and Vitiated microchannels are primarily to be considered. High cholesterol leads to disintegrity of the interior layer of Coronary Arteries, which results in appearance of fatty streaks of vitiated dosha, ultimately producing Obstruction in microchannels due to thickening of coronary arteries. Herbs which possess properties like Appetiser, Digestants, Hypo-lipidaemic, Cardiac tonics, Liver stimulants and which cleanse the microcirculatory channels etc. may help in breaking down the chain of reactions taking part in thickening of arteries which is a primary precursor of coronary artery disease Drugs which possess such properties, may act at the very root cause of the disease coronary artery disease and check its progress.
